3mo Lock-Eye Carmen x Camo Border Collie puppy (part 2)

More video of the difference in movement between two completely not related same-age border collie puppies. The mostly red pup has nice movement and is FAST. The white/red merle pup can’t keep up, despite her best efforts. The poor dear will likely need corrective surgery by the time she’s 1 just to lead a normal, active life. ETA: For the record…. The first of the video, of her on the trail with the other dogs, was after ~3 days of crate rest. The video in the field was shot immediately after ~1 day of crate rest. The puppy was not (or should not have been) overly tired. I just had a puppy this age myself not 2 months prior, and I exercised my [very structurally sound] FAR more than I dared to exercise this poor puppy that was in obvious pain trying to keep up with the others. This puppy is from BlastOff Border Collies, and her parents are Lock-Eye Carmen & BlastOff Camo.

She broke her rear leg as a ~5mo pup and after thousands of dollars in corrective surgeries, therapies, and rehab, was eventually rehomed to a pet home that wouldn’t ask her body to do things it could not. Her legs wound up completely crossed in the back — such horrible, terrible structure: tinypic (dot) com/r/24ymk50/7
what has become of this pup today?
That is just heartbreaking! Hopefully she will be able to have the surgery she needs to make her legs keep up with her spunky little body!
Aww, that’s so sad! Hopefully the pup will get a nice loving owner.
That poor puppy! She can’t even keep up with the other one her age. What a sweetie, though.
ouch…poor puppy
whos dog is that?
poor thing
Shame, poor little thing. Sad about the breeding, but cool that dogs just keep on going and dont dwell on their problems. My little Keeks shows me that every day.
Tight spot. Fixing the puppy isn’t really going to do anything for future puppies if the person (I’m suspecting) who bred the dog is not ethical to begin with. Good for you for putting this video up.
Oh dear. The poor pup. Terrible to know that someone bred two dogs to produce an issue like that. =(
I feel so terrible for her. I really wish there was something we could do.. =( I hope things get, I guess, sorted out you could say..and that the parents of this pup don’t have any other litters.. =/ Poor girlieee-though she’s soo incredibly sweet.
She looks like a pup I saw with canine ceroid-lipofuscinosis once.
poor baby<3 she can barley keep up, im worried shes going to be miserable.
