Question by serenadeofdivinity: How long the LASIK re-correction last?
i am thinking of taking my mother to a lasik eye clinic to restore her vision. But i was just wandering, how long this will last, assuming that it restored her vision to perfection, will it last her entire life time or just two to three years? help me out friends.

Lasik eye surgery is permanent..
I can only tell you my experience. I am 61 and had my eyes done 3 years ago. My Lasik doctor told me that I can expect good eyesight for several years but with age , this procedure is not permanent into old age. In old age the eyes will do what usually comes like cataracts and other eye diseases. Lasik cannot prevent those turns of events and I believe a good reputable doctor will forewarn your mother of that. Personally I looked at the procedure as a good twenty or more years without glasses if I am so fortunate.By the way it will not be perfection. Chances are huge that she will still use reading glasses.
